StreetGuard was set up by local residents who were tired of hearing about break-ins on the estate and being told nothing could be done. We're small, we're local, and we're accountable to the people who pay us.

Every patrol officer holds a valid Security Industry Authority front-line licence — licence numbers available on request and verifiable on the SIA public register.

£5m public liability and professional indemnity cover in place. Certificate available to every subscriber on sign-up.​​
DBS CHECKED & VETTED
Officers are screened to BS 7858 standards with enhanced DBS checks and full employment referencing before a single shift.​​
LICENSING IN FULL
Every officer who patrols for StreetGuard holds a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) front-line licence. Licences can be checked on the SIA's public register, and we'll provide the licence number of any officer working your street on request.
Staff are screened to BS 7858 — the British Standard for security screening — including enhanced DBS checks, five-year employment referencing and identity/right-to-work verification, before their first shift.We carry £5m public liability and professional indemnity insurance. A copy of the certificate is issued to every subscriber on sign-up and on request at any time.
We are a private security company. We have no police powers, our vehicles carry no emergency lighting, and our officers are dressed to be clearly distinguishable from police. Crimes in progress are always reported to 999.
