Street Guard Security – Updated Terms & Conditions

I have integrated the Emergency Services Disclaimer into your existing Terms and Conditions. This clearly defines your role alongside the police to manage customer expectations and legal liability.

1. Service Description
Street Guard Security provides residential patrol services consisting of 1–3 security checkups per night. These include visual inspections of the property perimeter and vehicle security checks. Customers on our "Complete Package" are also entitled to periodic security audits to identify and advise on property vulnerabilities.

2. Emergency Services Disclaimer (Crucial)

  • Not a Replacement: Street Guard Security is a private deterrent service and is not a replacement for the Police, Ambulance, or Fire Service.

  • Emergency Protocol: In the event of an active crime, medical emergency, or fire, your number one priority must be to call 999 immediately.

  • Non-Emergencies: For non-emergency security concerns, we are happy to assist and provide a physical presence. We maintain a professional relationship with local law enforcement and will work closely with the authorities, providing evidence and reports to assist their investigations.

3. Commitment & Deterrence
We act as a visible deterrent to help lower crime rates and increase the safety and desirability of your area. While our patrols aim to deter criminals and may lead to long-term benefits such as reduced insurance premiums, Street Guard Security does not guarantee the total elimination of crime or specific financial changes to insurance or property value.

4. Incident Response & Evidence

  • Criminal Encounters: If our guards encounter a criminal act, they will analyse the situation. If safe to do so, they may perform a citizen's arrest. If it is unsafe, they will retreat to a safe distance, alert the authorities/backup, and monitor the situation until help arrives.

  • Surveillance: Body-worn cameras and dashcams are live at all times during patrols. This footage is recorded and used as evidence to help prosecute criminals where necessary.

5. Payments & Cancellations

  • Subscription: Services are paid monthly.

  • Cancel Anytime: If you are unhappy with the service for any reason, you may cancel your subscription at any time.

  • Refunds: No refunds are provided for the remainder of a billing month; however, services will continue to be fulfilled to the best of our abilities until the end of your paid period.

6. Liability & Insurance
Street Guard Security is fully covered by comprehensive Business Liability Insurance. Our services are delivered in line with current business requirements and operational safety standards. We are not liable for failures to perform due to Force Majeure (events beyond our control, such as extreme weather or fuel shortages).

8. Access Rights & Permission to Enter
By subscribing to a Street Guard Security package and agreeing to these Terms, you grant our security personnel an express license and "Right of Access" to enter the external areas of your property, including driveways, front gardens, and side access paths, for the sole purpose of conducting security patrols and vehicle checks.

  • Scope of Access: Access is strictly limited to the external perimeter of the property. Our guards will not attempt to enter the internal dwelling unless specifically requested in an emergency or as part of a pre-arranged Security Audit.

  • Identification: All guards will be in uniform and will carry proof of identity and authorization while on your property.

  • Revocation of Rights: This right of access is automatically revoked the moment your subscription is cancelled or expires. Following the end of your billing cycle, Street Guard Security personnel will no longer enter your property.

  • Obstructions: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that gates or access points are functional and that any pets (e.g., dogs) are secured during patrol hours to allow our guards to perform their duties safely.
